Acts of the Apostles is a book in the New Testament. The word ACTS can also be used as a reminder of how to pray.
It works like this
A: Adoration
C: Confession
T: Thanksgiving
S: Supplication
These words are a bit long and Churchy, but if you can remember them and what they mean they will help you when you pray.
The first letter of Acts is A
Adoration
This means we should start off by Praising God for how great he is.
After we have done this we move onto the next letter-C.
Confession
This is telling God that we are sorry for all the wrongs things we have done.
After we have finished saying sorry we can move on to T.
Thanksgiving
This is where we can say thank you to God for all of the good things he has given to us and done for us.
Finally we move on to S, and a strange word!
Supplication
Having praised God, said sorry and given thanks we are now ready to ask God to help us live our lives and help in the lives of other people.
Try praying a pray that follows the ACTS system.
