The book of Genesis, the first in the bible, is packed full of stories from how God created the world through to Joseph and his brothers ending up in Egypt.
We start at the very beginning and remember that God created the world in which we live. Say a prayer of praise to God for the wonderful world he has created for us to live on.
Genesis also tells us that God had a special relationship with a man called Abraham, God called Abraham his friend. Thank God that he is your friend, a friend that will never leave you or let you down, you will always be able to trust him.
The final story in Genesis is all about Jacob and his twelve sons. There were a lot of problems for those twelve brothers, especially for Joseph, but God was watching over them all and after many years God brought them altogether again and they forgave each other. We should remember our families when we pray. Move along to the family line and pray for some of the members of your family.
