Iraq has been our headline news for many years. It is an ancient country; some of the early chapters of Genesis took place in the lands now called Iraq.
It was once a rich country, and it should be rich today. But its leader in recent times, Saddam Hussein, has used the countries riches to build himself palaces, an army and extremely dangerous weapons that have been banned by the rest of the world.
The war in Iraq has over thrown Saddam Hussein, but this has not solved all of the countries problems.
Iraq needs to be rebuilt. The water supply needs repairing so people can have water coming out of their taps again. Electricity has to be switched back on. The hospitals are full of people who have been injured in the war and the attacks since the war.
The country needs a police force to restore law and order. It needs a new government, one that will make decisions that will benefit all the people in Iraq not just a few.
